Following the steps outlined in the job search plan section of this week's lecture, create a detailed job search plan.
Know yourself: Working in public health satisfies my lifelong desire to help others and my interest in the topic. I give my all to everything I set my mind to. This means that I am open to starting at the bottom to advance in my chosen field.
Know your employment goal: Health educators play an important role because many people do not realize the dangers of their actions. I want to find a position within the community where I can help spread awareness and create initiatives to boost community wellness.
Work on your résumé and cover letter: These promotional efforts are directed at the outside world.
Make a plan: I plan on using the school's resources in my job hunt in addition to my own efforts. When I'm done with my resume, I'm going to send it to a few online databases.
