Need for Affiliation
This theory by Henry Murray is part of my personality profile and explains why I need an affiliation with friends, relatives, and co-workers. Social relationships offer to feel embraced and assisted while conforming to how I communicate and act. According to King (2022), "Those justifications that are settled in our minds about how we should interact with others and how they should interact with us are what make our identities stable" (King, 2022). My level of affiliation needs makes me focus on cooperation, understanding others, and participation in gregarious activities, which helps to improve my orientation.
