A Personal Health Record (PHR) can greatly complement Arnold’s efforts to manage his multiple health issues by organizing his health data. Since Arnold has congestive heart failure, type 2 diabetes, and renal insufficiency, he needs to have his treatment carried out by specialists of different disciplines and take other medications. A PHR would help him to maintain, categorize, and easily retrieve all his health information, test results, medication history, and treatment regimes (Mayo Clinic, 2022). Such a consolidated document might help lessen discrepancies in his plans and treatment between those healthcare facilities and unify the practice. The category of people, especially the aged and those with ailing health, stand to benefit from the innovation more than others because of the difficulty of managing fragmented records (Mayo Clinic, 2022).
