Advanced nursing practice is a term that describes the clinical nursing practice that enriches the graduates with knowledge on how to deal with individuals in families and the community at large. This equips the nurses with professional knowledge on health care and effective role performance in the health sector, Schober & Affara, (2006).
The minimum academic requirement for the entry to the advanced nurse association is a degree on the same field. This has helped the sector to come up with a curriculum covering the advanced levels of education as it was agreed on March 2002 through a consensus in Canada.
